The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is a UN organ that's responsible for maintaining international peace and security. The UNSC's responsibilities include: Identifying threats to peace, Calling on parties to a dispute to settle it peacefully, Recommending methods to settle disputes, Imposing sanctions, and Authorizing the use of force.
