

ECOSOC
ECOSOC stands for Economic and Social Council, which is one of the six main organs of the United Nations. It was established in 1945 by the UN Charter. It coordinates the work of UN agencies, commissions, and funds, promotes sustainable development, economic stability, and full employm. ECOSOC deals with economic, social, cultural and health matters as well as human rights and fundamental freedoms.

We warmly welcome you to the tenth edition of FLIMUN and to the ECOSOC committee, whose main goal is to promote sustainable development by addressing economic, social, and environmental issues. As your presidents we expect to have a dynamic debate, focusing on global issues such as poverty, inequality, and sustainable development.
